Tests, Results & Referrals
A clinician may recommend tests to help:
1. Identify the cause of your symptoms.
2. Screen for a specific condition or health problem.
3. Check your general health.
4. Monitor an existing long-term condition.
If you have been referred to a specialist, the Wait Well, Stay Well website provides information and resources to support you while you are waiting for treatment: Home - Wait well, stay well (icb.nhs.uk)

X-Ray
X-rays are a very effective way of detecting problems with bones, such as fractures. They can also often identify problems with soft tissue, such as pneumonia or breast cancer.
In order to maintain confidentiality, laboratory and X-ray results will only be given to patients themselves or to the parents of minors.
X-rays results: 1 to 2 weeks.

In-Clinic Tests
At Modern Medical Centre, we may ask for different types of samples to help diagnose and monitor your health. These can include:
1. Toenail clippings - results usually take around 4 weeks.
2. Stool Samples - Results are normally ready in about 10 days.
3. Urine samples and swabs - results are usually available within 5 days.
